OnePlus One got an update today and there’s a new Cyanogen OS version out there for it. Considering the breakdown between OnePlus and Cyanogen, this is sort of a surprising move. We are not talking about a huge update, but about a few helpful bug fixes and minor updates. If the OTA hasn’t reached your phone yet, there are manual downloads available you can try. The OTA ZIP file is 18MB in size, but in order to make it work you will need a stock version of the OS on your phone. In case you want the full ROM experience, the file is 600MB in size and it includes fastboot ZIPs. According to official forums, this Cyanogen OS forums, his update brings about some bug fixes and security updates, possible something like Stagefright. The usual OTA could prove to be failing, but the manual installs are reported as working. OnePlus One is the only smartphone from the company still running on Cyanogen OS, but the company is working on moving it to its proprietary Oxygen OS as soon as possible. Google is very fast when it comes to updating devices that run on standard or semi-standard versions of Android, and the One devices are as close to that definition as anything. HTC’s event is only a week away and this year’s flagship is bound to make its appearance on March 1st. HTC One M9 was reportedly leaked a bunch of times these past few weeks and some of them may have been right. Some renders and full specifications have also appeared on Cyberport.de, as AndroidPolice reports, and below you can find out just a bit more about one of the best smartphones of this year. One Plus One OTA is out! A much needed fix bunch is on its way to one of the most popular phablet – if there is such a thing – in the world! Because of the unresponsive and moody touchscreen, the One Plus One experience in what concerns unlocking the phone and using its apps. This update should resolve the touchscreen issues and it may bring in a better battery life as well. Team Win Recovery Project finally released an update for Verizon HTC One M8. The custom recovery is now available and it will require an unlocked bootloader, a tough love situation in the case of M8 from Verizon. Be careful when you attempt to root your Verizon HTC One M8 as you may void the warranty, especially since you will be using tools such as WeakSauce M8 Root or Firewater S-Off. TWRP root can be installed via fastbot, ADB or through the GooManager App you can find on Android. Those who prefer ClockWork Mod recovery can try this unofficial build that was recently made available.
