Gabriel Knight: Sins of Fathers is another classic adventure game released on the Google Play Store. If you are a fan of point-and-click games, you will love this one. This game is a 1993 Sierra adventure remastered that you can now try on your mobile device.

You become a book store owner stuck with investigating a whole series of murders going down in New Orleans. The entire graphics have been remastered to 2D and 3D and all the characters have voices of their own (Mark Hamill, Tim Curry and Leah Remini voice act some of the chars). The game looks great compared to its former self, aesthetically speaking.

 

The game play includes puzzles and some interesting history for fans of Stephen King’s work. Gabriel Knight: Sins of Fathers is free on the Google Play store, but it does present some in-app purchase options too. The second, third and fourth chapters can be tried by paying extra, starting from $2.99 to $3.99 with a total cost of $11. The PC game costs around $20, which makes is somewhat of a deal, especially considering the remastered aspect of it all.

 

The game is compatible with all Android 4.0+ devices and it also includes support for Android TV. The entire game requires 1.34GB of free storage.

[Game of the day] X Men Days of Future Past is now on Google Play Store – fight in the past with your favorite mutants in order to change their future

X Men Days of Future Past the game is now online on Google Play store. The name should be familiar to you because of last year’s movie but don’t expect the same story as this game stays true to the 1981 storyline. It’s also not a free game, meaning you will have to pay $3.99 for it, but the upside is you won’t have to get any in-app purchase ads or requests.

The game itself is a side-scrolling adventure where you take on the hides of Wolverine, Shadowcat, Storm, Cyclops, Scarlet Witch and Colossus. As you get along on the game you get new abilities and you can do your homework on a lore section of the game to find useful pieces of information regarding your heroes and their missions.

X Men Days Of Future Past begins in a dystopian future where robotic Sentinels have destroyed much of the world. Most mutants are dead, hurt or hunted down. Then you have to go back in time to stop events from taking place in order to change the future.

Monument Valley update – Forgotten Shores available for purchase in-app

Monument Valley’s most recent expansion entitled Forgotten Shores is now available on the Google Play Store. The game itself is one of the most interesting and innovative mobile experiences in a while, and now you have eight more levels to revel in the magic for Monument Valley.

 

 

 

The update is not found free though, as you would have to pay $1.99 to get it, but considering it is an interesting one-time in-app purchase, it is worth it.

 

In case you haven’t tried Monument Valley yet, you should basically know it’s a puzzle game with a twist on optical illusions and perspective. The game can also be found o Google Play store, where it costs $3.99. Happy playing!

Botanicula – a new point and click original game from the creators of Machinarium

If you’re in the mood for a game, we have a fresh one out of the Amanita Design team, and that is Botanicula. The little game resembles Machinarium in art and gameplay, but it presents a new adventure where you control around five tree-dwelling friends who have to protect the last seed from their home-tree with their life as their own home is infested with parasites.

 

 

Botanicula is in essence a point and click adventure game with bonuses and puzzles you can unlock as you progress. You have over 150 unique locations to explore, each with its own special artwork. The music is good as well, resembling that of Machinarium.

For $4.99 you get a pretty decent and creative game you can try in your free time. And you won’t even be bothered by in-app purchases as you point and click!
