Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 gets update to Android Lollipop

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from Verizon is getting an update to Lollipop too starting today. Verizon’s site has been refreshed with the update and some small enhancements. The new OS will use a material-ish version of TouchWiz, plus some performance and optimized battery enhancements.





This update brings Note 3 to the build version LRX21V.N900VVRUEOB6 and it will begin rolling out in over the air updates.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 gets Lollipop update today!

Verizon customers with Samsung Galaxy S5 devices rejoice! It’s finally your turn to embark on the Lollipop journey of a lifetime! The original update was supposed to hit sometime around February, but it was pulled and the new version is rolling out today! This brings your Galaxy S5 to version number G900VVRU1BOA4, by the way.

The previous update attempt appears to have rendered devices basically useless because of bugs, crashing apps and fast battery depletion. Now, all Galaxy S5 units on Verizon should receive the update. It may take several days, but it’s coming, people!

Verizon’s HTC One M8 gets update to Android Lollipop 5.0

HTC is long away from its 90 day deadline of updating all recently launched devices to Lollipop, but it is still keeping to its word of bringing the Android sweetness to its devices, even if it is later than advertised. The latest to receive this blessing is Verizon’s HTC One M8, the smartphone that is getting Android 5.0 today.

This update will bring about new animations, settings changes, notifications on the lock screen and a different card-based app switcher UI. This update brings band 4 LTE roaming and some new changes to 3-way calling.

The update will roll out in batches, as usual, and you can visit the system menu to try the manual update if you are eager. Below you can check the official Verizon update document:

    • Band 4 roaming has been enabled
    • Enhancement to 3-way calling feature has been added

    Verizon’s Motorola Droid Turbo gets small update – not Lollipop

    Motorola Droid Turbo from Verizon is getting a small update that is not Lollipop. This new little update brings the device to version 21.44.12 and it appears to be a small KitKat bug fixer.
