HTC M8_EYE coming next month – the same M8 with a better camera

HTC M8_EYE seems to be a regular M8 device with a 13MP camera that will be available sometime next month. It seems that the new device dropped the Ultrapixel cameras and is adopting a 13 MP Duo Camera instead.

The duo camera setup is supposed to use the familiar 4 MP image sensor used in the M7, and it seems to have larger pixels in detriment of a better resolution.

If the rumors are true, the device will also sport the Sense 6 UI and an Android 4.4.4 when it is released. There are few other details known so far and no other tweaks and tinkerings are known about the new EYE device.

It does seem that the device will only be available for the Chinese and Indian market.

HTC One Max Sprint update – gets Wi Fi calling and Sense 6 UI

HTC One Max gets the update to Sense 6 these days. We are talking about the Sprint version, of course. The update will roll out in stages so if you are eager to get your Wi Fi calling feature and the new UI, you can check it manually. Some will have to wait for the automatic update though.

The biggest improvements coming with this update are Sense 6 UI and Wi Fi calling, a  feature useful for people who usually have plans with a limited number of minutes available or for those who get in the position where call service and signal is not the best around. Users can send text messages or make calls via Wi Fi connection instead in these cases. The feature was released earlier this year by Sprint and it has proven to be somewhat of a success so far.

The update gets the device to software version 3.02.651.5 and it appears that Wi Fi calling and Sense 6 UI is all we get.

HTC One M7 will get an upgrade to Sense 6 this May, and the president of HTC USA is the one to make this announcement. Even if this year’s flagship has made its debut in a rather successful manner, HTC doesn’t want you to think that last year’s tech star was forgotten.
