If you are an AT&T fan or you just want to jump ships to another US carrier, this may be your chance, especially if you love Samsung devices! The carrier currently has a holiday season promotion on Samsung Galaxy S6 where it offers buyers the option to get one free Samsung device when they buy one.
If you want to buy a Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, a Note 5 or an S6 Active, you will be able to get a free Galaxy S6 from AT&T. There are a few conditions you must agree to, of course, as nothing is truly free in this world of ours.
Firstly, you have to start a new mine of service in order to be eligible for a Galaxy S6, and you have to use AT&T’s Next installment plan.
Secondly, the free phone will be included in a Next 24 plan. The “free” part of the plan has yet another caveat: AT&T will issue bill credits for 30 months adding up to $650.
If you don’t mind the many bad sides of this deal, you can go ahead and enjoy this way to save some money. The offer will be good until December 31st. You can check more details in the source link below.
The fervor of Black Friday deals is upon us and US carriers are working hard on showing us just how great they are at making deals and discounts. After Verizon and Sprint, T Mobile is also making its deals known to the world, but its approach is a little different from the rest.
For starters, all postpaid Simple Choice customers get unlimited LTE for the next three months, starting now. But it will start only after you deplete the current month’s data and data stash. The offer will not apply to tethering, and T Mobile reserves the rights to terminate your plan if you abuse it.
Next week, the carrier announced offering a deal for Sprint, Verizon and AT&T customers. We will have to wait and see what this form of bribery will be comprised of and if the competition users will be tempted enough to jump boats.
Black Friday starts on November 25th for T Mobile, which means they are ahead of everyone by one day.
When it comes to smartphone deals, the carrier is giving Samsung Galaxy S6 (32GB version) for $0 upfront and $0 per month with the JUMP! On Demand program. You can save $100 off a Samsung tablet when you buy a Samsung phone from T Mobile.
If Samsung is not to your liking or budget, you can track down an Alcatel Onetouch Pixi 7 tablet for free if you get a qualifying data plan. All you have to pay is the sales tax fee and you walk out with a new contract and a $168 device. And if that’s not enough, we got word of some Cyber Monday love too.
OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE:
T-Mobile Amps the Holidays, Starts with Gift of Unlimited LTE for Existing Customers
Un-carrier announces Black Friday offers and kicks off ‘Un-carrier Unwrapped’ − four weeks in a row of surprise holiday gifts − starting with three full months of unlimited LTE data for T-Mobile customers – at no extra charge!
Bellevue, Washington — November 23, 2015 — T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) is kicking off the holidays in style with Un-carrier Unwrapped, a full month of holiday gift-giving, with one special gift coming each week. First up, the Un-carrier is giving the gift of unlimited high-speed data for your smartphone – for the next three months – to every single one of its postpaid Simple Choice customers. But in true T-Mobile fashion, we won’t stop there. T-Mobile is also delivering special holiday gifts to Sprint, AT&T and Verizon customers starting next week – one carrier per week. Plus, T-Mobile is serving up a banquet of holiday offers, including a free tablet, $0 down $0 per month on the Samsung Galaxy S6 32GB with JUMP! On Demand, and more.
“We’ve had a fantastic year, and we’re going to spread that T-Mobile cheer by starting with the most important people first… our existing customers! Now you get Unlimited LTE data on our blazing fast network for three full months as a gift from the Un-carrier to you,” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. “But that’s not all….we know that Verizon, AT&T and Sprint customers need some holiday cheer, too – so we’ve got presents coming for them. Just wait!”
The holidays are for connecting with family and friends. In fact, data usage on T-Mobile’s network jumps more than 10% in December. The last thing customers want to worry about is their data, so T-Mobile is taking that worry away. For the next three months, everybody – all active Simple Choice postpaid customers as of end of day November 23, including business customers – has Unlimited 4G LTE smartphone data once you use up all your data and your Data Stash.
And, as the Un-carrier so often does, they’ve done the hard work to keep things simple for customers. Simple Choice postpaid customers don’t have to do a thing to get their Unlimited LTE gift. On December 1, 2015, the special holiday gift will simply appear under the tree—that is, in their existing T-Mobile plan. Which is how gifts ought to be given, right? No stress. No hassles. And, they’ll keep that free Unlimited LTE smartphone data as long as they’re on the same T-Mobile plan with Binge On active until March 1, 2016.
More gifts – for the carriers’ mistreated customers – will start arriving next Monday, one carrier per week. Stay tuned.
Black Friday: Get a Tablet on Us – and a Whole Lot More On top of this unprecedented customer gift, Black Friday is starting early at T-Mobile. Beginning this Wednesday, November 25, you can get the popular Alcatel Onetouch Pixi™ 7” Android-powered™ 4G LTE tablet for $0 with any qualifying data plan at participating T-Mobile stores across the country and online. That’s right: $0 down, $0 payments; you pay only the sales tax. With Binge On and a new tablet this holiday season, the entire family can watch all the holiday movies they want from top video services like Netflix, HBO, Hulu, and SlingTV and never worry about the Grinch gobbling up your high-speed data.

Samsung Pay is finally on the Play Store, and if you own one of the four devices that can support it, you can go ahead and download it. The app is now also available on Google’s Play Store. It’s been out for a while now, but you could only download it from Samsung’s own app store.
Availability on Google Play Store does not make Samsung Pay available to more devices than before. You can use it only if you have a Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5.
The sad part is that the Play Store version of the app will prompt you to download the more recent version from the Samsung page. This could be a gimmick from the OEM to make you more invested in the app and to let you know it is available and that you can use it.
The mobile payment method is available on US carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Sprint. The installation is free and you will get more and more places to use the app in the coming days, including Starbucks. Give it a look below:
Samsung is bringing Samsung Pay to Verizon customers. With the latest support from Verizon, Samsung has expanded Samsung Pay’s commercial availability to consumers on all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon.
Verizon customers with the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy Note5, and Galaxy S6 edge+ will be able to download and install the Samsung Pay application from Google Play beginning Oct. 21 at 12:00 PM ET.
Launched on September 28 in the United States, Samsung Pay is a simple and safe mobile payment service that works almost anywhere you can swipe or tap your card. Samsung Pay is compatible with most existing and new terminals, including most magnetic stripe, EMV and NFC terminals. That means Samsung Pay works at more places than any other mobile payment service.
Nana Murugesan, VP of Strategy and Operations, Samsung Electronics America released to the following statement on the new partnership with Verizon: “We are proud to partner with Verizon to bring Samsung Pay to Verizon customers. With Samsung Pay, Verizon customers will be able to shop like yesterday and pay like tomorrow. With the widest acceptance of retailers, Samsung Pay works almost anywhere you can swipe or tap your card.”
Let me know if you plan on covering Samsung Pay’s partnership with Verizon, or if you need any additional details.
Samsung just announced a promotion where, if you make a considerable purchase of a new SUHD TV, you will also get a free Samsung Galaxy S6. How much are you supposed to spend in order to get a $650 freebie? Not less than $1500 it appears. The promotion came live yesterday, on July 19th, and it will last until August 1st.
This move replaced the existing promotion which offered customers a free year of Netflix when buying a Samsung TV.
This promotion applies only to the SUHD TVs, which is the new brand of HD TVs from Samsung that uses nano-crystal color technology, a fair improvement from LCD screens, and an HDR feature responsible for improving contrast for supported content.
You can get a free Galaxy S6 if you buy one of the following Samsung SUHD TVs:
The cheapest device you can buy is the JS8500, discounted to $1500. The next cheapest TV is the JS9000 which has a price tag of $3500. After buying the TV, you can collect your gift if you go to SamsungPromotions. Com and fill out a form. You will have to wait up to 8-10 weeks before your free 32GB Galaxy S6 gets to you. You cannot opt for more storage even if you are willing to pay for it.
You could also get a Samsung S6 Edge with this promotion, but you would have to buy it separately through a carrier and get only $400 reimbursed. Considering the device is $100 more expensive than the S6, this would be a worse deal for you.
T Mobile is updating its most popular devices these days and now it’s time for Samsung Galaxy S6 to get an official Android 5.1.1 build. With this OTA, Samsung managed to include support for RAW photography that you can’t use with the stock app at the moment.
The problem seems to be that the Manual Camera testing app reports the RAW support as inexistent but, if you install another camera app, it will confirm that the camera2 API is working. The stock camera does not have an option to enable RAW support at the moment.
Since T Mobile is pretty fast in updating its S6 device, we are sure that support for the RAW capture mode will come soon, either in native form or as a downloadable module in the Samsung app store.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 rumors are coming! With the imminent announcement of the new device coming alive growing closer by the day, new rumors and bits of information are starting to surface. The second half of the year is bound to witness the launch of more flagship devices and among the most important is the next Samsung Note device.
According to a report which cites various Samsung Employees on Meibo, the Note 5 will be sporting a USB 3.1 Type-C connector. If this is indeed true, this could be the best device to launch this year. This type of connector allows for both its ends to be USB hosts, USB-PD Power Consumers, and DisplayPort video sources.
It is also speculated that Samsung will pair the USB Type-C connector with a USB Power Delivery v2.0 which could deliver up to 100W power and this could mean a much faster charging time for your device. The Type-C connector also allows for data transmission to a 4K display in full native resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is also expected to use a Quad HD display on the Note 5. The display will increase to 5.85 inches and this means its pixel density will be lower than that of the current Note 4. The larger screen will have a more potent battery in the shape of a rumored 4100 mAh cell. Taking into consideration the device should be 7.9mm thick, this could prove to be a great accomplishment. There will be a Stylus-pen embedded in the handset, as it has happened with previous devices.
This year Samsung is cutting losses and will launch only one Note version, letting go of the Note Edge line, at least for now (or Galaxy S6 Edge could play a part in it). This is also just a rumor, and it could prove false.
There are a few month until IFA 2015 and there is still time for rumors and details to surface before a proper announcement. We will just have to wait and see.
