Dell announces Venue 10 tablets destined for educational greatness

Dell announced a new tablet focused on education today. Venue 10 is part of an education-oriented product system running on Lollipop Android. The device will also have a Windows 8.1 “twin” and they will both debut this spring. The devices will probably not be available in many places and they will not look like high-end tablets, but they may prove to be interesting enough.

Dell tablet keyboard

Dell’s Venue 10 will have 10.1 inch screens with HD or Full HD resolution. They will come paired with Wacom digitizers which will make them ready for true active stylus input; that means the stylus will probably be sold separately. Among the accessories users can get is the keyboard used mainly for easy typing and Lenovo-type functionality.

ASUS unveils new MeMO Pad 7 version at IFA Berlin

ASUS announced a better version of the MeMO Pad 7 at IFA Berlin today and the device looks better than ever. If only it would receive faster updates than the present version!

ASUS always launches new stuff at every major event it can get its hands on and this time it unveiled its new version of the MeMO Pad 7, among other things. The MeMO line was always about giving customers a decent tablet at a decent price and this is exactly what the new model is doing too.

MeMO Pad 7’s resolution is upgraded to 1920 x1080p which looks pretty good on a 7” slate, and the processor is upgraded to a 64-bit Intel Atom. Current Android versions cannot take advantage of the 64-bit architecture, which is why the launch of Android L will be imminent to this particular item. The device presents 2 GB of RAM and 16 or 32 GB of space, 5MP and 2 MP cameras and it weighs 269g.

The tablet will be available in three classy colors: Gentle Black, Champagne Gold and Burgandy Red. The Wi Fi version will cost around $260 and a LTE version which does not have a price tag yet will become available soon.
