Verizon gives small update to Samsung Galaxy S5 – see what it’s all about here!

Verizon is getting out a small update to Samsung Galaxy S5 where the device will be in receipt of some new little features. This little change will not make anything feel that much different, albeit for an app or two.

Didn’t you want GALAXY apps on your device? No? Well, you’re getting them anyway because now they will be auto-installed on your smartphone. It is a newer rebranded version of Samsung apps with more apps for selection this time.

The other update is the fingerprint scanner which can now be used to unlock your phone when you get a Microsoft Exchange account as device administrator too.

Samsung owners are still waiting for Android 5.1 on their devices and we will keep you posted on their progress as it happens.

T Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S5 is getting a Lollipop taste with an OTA update. Samsung has a ton of devices on the market so when they start getting updates everyone is bound to know sooner or later. It appears that T Mobile is pushing out an OTA with lollipop to its Galaxy S5.

Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5 update to Android Lollipop 5.0

Check your Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5 if you haven’t already, because you are bound to receive the Lollipop update today. It appears that the Lollipop update spree has begun and after Sprint started to update its HTC One M7 today, it is Samsung’s turn to update.

The short changelog is as follows:

      • Android OS update to Lollipop v5.0
      • Lumen tool bar removed
      • Enhanced VoWiFi UI.

The Lumen toolbar is the sort of intrusive adware browser Sprint was very happy to introduce back in 2013. Most people were not very pleased with it as they did not want to see the junk in their browsers. The rest of the update is Lollipop.
