ZTE Nubia 5S Mini will reach the North-American shores after all! The device will reach the US market on August 27 and it will be found on Amazon at the cost of $279. ZTE devices have been around on the US market for a while now, but most customers may not even know it. The Chinese OEM has been selling its phones to carriers for rebrands for the past few years but now it has decided to sell its devices without any deals.
Nubia 5S is an unlocked GSM/LTE handset with a medium hardware construction and a slim professional design. It has a 4.7” screen with a 720 x 1280 p resolution and presents a slim body of 7.6 mm.
Under the chassis, the device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor at 1.2 GHz with an Adreno 305 GPU accompanied by 16GB of storage upgradeable to 32 GB with a MicroSD slot.
It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and has a 2000 mAh battery. The handset is helped by a 13 MP primary sensor with BSI image sensor and LED flash and a 5 MP front facing camera.
Considering that soon KitKat will be one year old, the OS choice is a bit strange, apart from the fact that 4.7” smartphones are a rare find nowadays. Let’s see how the middle-range device fares on the market.
