[Deal of the day] Celebrate Valentine’s Day with two discounted Moto Droid Turbo 2 on Verizon!

Valentine’s Day is approaching fast and if you have a significant other you may already be sweating and worrying about what the best gift for the occasion is. Put those flowers and chocolates away, because tech is the gift of the future. Or so thinks Motorola because it just made the best deal possible for you!

In this age of consumerism, why not change things a bit and give up on the proverbial “love” gifts in exchange for matching smartphones? You can now get Two Motorola Droid Turbo 2 phones from Motorola/Verizon at half the price! Isn’t that pure love?

In order to be eligible for this deal you have to buy a Droid Turbo 2 that you can pair with a duplicate device or with a Maxx 2 phone. You can get them as stock devices from Verizon or you can spice them up a bit in the Moto Maker. Most people will just chose two Turbo 2 devices, and not as much for the matching brand, but for the sake of saving $300, and not less than $200 for a cheaper device.

In order to be eligible for this deal you have to keep in mind that you must activate your phone on Verizon. The promotion does not have an end date at the moment, but expect it to be over after Valentine’s day.

Motorola Droid Turbo from Verizon leaked – see what the device looks like

Motorola Droid Turbo showed its face recently in a few Androidcentral pics. Verizon’s device seems to be ready to battle in the look department as well as when it comes to specs!

It has a 5.2” screen with a QHD resolution at 2560×1440 and inside you will be able to find a quad-core Snapdragon 805 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The Turbo device will have a killer camera of 21 MP with an updated interface, including the Quick Capture mode and video highlights feature.

Everything will be powered by a 3900 mAh battery which reportedly lasts for 2 days of usage. Of course, the device will be waterproof to some extent as to survive everyday spills and even 20 minutes of downpour.

Motorola Droid Turbo will run on a mostly stock Android version with a few Moto tweaks, including Droid Zap and Chromecast slideshows, location-based file sharing and voice activate screenshot (you say OK Turbo, zap my screen, and the device screenshots your screen).

Details regarding the price and availability are still unknown.

Moto X with custom Rosewood instead of Walnut finish on MotoMaker

Custom Moto X orders now have a new option: Rosewood replaces Walnut natural back case on the official site. Rosewood was first shown last year at Moto X’s launch and now you can choose it for your own device on the MotoMaker page. No one knows why it took this long to get this option going but it does seem it has some casualties. Walnut natural color is gone, so if you wanted a Moto X with a Walnut finish, your chance is gone.

The Rosewood finish is an additional $25 add-on similar to the other three natural options available: Bamboo, Teak and Ebony.

Motorola suggests it is considering adding a 64GB storage option that may or may not come up with the new Moto X launched sometime this summer. Will you buy the device with this new – and popular in videos – natural wood looking case?

Inside, we have a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor accompanied by 1 GB of RAM (which will likely not support the KitKat OS) and 4 GB of internal storage plus a microSD slot. The device has only one camera with a 5 MP sensor and it presents dual SIM slots with 3G support.

Motorola Moto E leaked on the Internet today!

A Motorola Moto E image was leaked today and it shows a device similar in nature to Moto G, but with some unique features – or lack thereof. Motorola is about to launch its newest devices in an event that will take place on May 13th, but someone decided to make the Moto E public beforehand.

The E – which is on the right – is a bit smaller than the G – on the left – and it seems to have some branding on the front. It seems to lack a front camera and the oblongated spot next to the speaker is the light sensor. Do you find the leaked photo interesting?
