HTC A9 Hero leaks in China! See what HTC’s last hope looks like!

HTC A9 Hero was leaked yesterday and it resembles an iPhone through and through. HTC is on a downward spiral at the moment, mainly because of the miscalculated release of its M9, which did not live up to expectation. But things could change.

HTC A9 Hero

HTC’s CEO promised investors that stocks will go back up and some pretty last minute plans were put in motion. A late 2015 hero device is supposed to help the company make a comeback, as suggested on the Chinese media platform Weibo, where the Hero device was leaked.

This HTC A9 Hero seems to be the real deal, as it does resemble the M9 quite a bit. Some things were changed, for example the flattened shape of the new device in relation to this spring’s (failed) flagship. This kind of makes it look like an iPhone, if you squint your eyes real hard. The front glass of the device seems curved downward towards the edges and the back of the device has a golden hue.

HTC A9 Hero specs rumor

There is no official information regarding what HTC”s hero device will pack, but rumors put it at a MediaTek Helio X20,4GB of RAM a 3500 mAh battery and a 5.2” QHD screen.

Some say that because the device looks very iPhone-y, a launch in the US would be tricky, and, as a result, it would be an Asia exclusive. We will have to wait for some official news to know more. Until then, stay tuned!

Huawei Nexus phone leaks in new photos!

Huawei Nexus phone (possibly) leaks again! After the leak of the LG Nexus device set to launch sometime this year, it is its sibling’s turn as new photos surface. Google+user Tiessen Fu recently posted three photos of a device with the Nexus logo on it. The bonus is the Huawei logo sitting next to it.

Huawei Nexus render

In the photos you can see the front and back of the Huawei Nexus device, plus a protective case. The back presents a circular cut which is probably the fingerprint reader. It looks exactly as the one in the LG Nexus leaks. The previous Huawei renders were rather accurate because the device does indeed have the oblong panel where the camera and flash are.

The G+ user says that the leaks were sent to him by a friend and the QQ labels imply that they were sent to him over the Tencent QQ instant messaging system. Since Huawei is situated in China, this explanation seems sound.

Specs and possibilities: Huawei Nexus

Recent leaks have addressed the tech specs details, and some include a 5.4 – inch screen with a Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3500 mAh battery. But, as usual, everything should be taken in with a grain of salt because this data cannot be officially verified at this point.

We won’t have to wait THAT long since usually Google launches its OS update along with some interesting Nexus devices. Fall is nearly upon us, and this is usually the time when Google takes out its ace from the sleeve. We just have to wait for a little while longer.

Edit: there’s even more photos leaking out there! Huawei Nexus, codenamed Angler, is indeed sporting a Snapdragon 810 processor and it appears to have 64GB  of storage. Here it is:

Nexus smartphones for 2015 from Huawei and LG leak again!

The rumors and leaks for the new Nexus smartphones have been many, but none can exceed the awesomeness level of the render of the Huawei Nexus and the photo of the LG Nexus that appeared on the Internet. After some incipient renders were leaked last week, new documents seem to hit the Internet, which can only mean that the devices will be announced soon.

The premium Huawei Nexus device showed in a render below is coming from USwitch. It appears that the device will be clad in a metallic body with a bulging top side where the rear camera is.

For reference, the LG device presents a camera in the middle of the top side. These Nexus smartphones are quite different, at least when it comes to their looks.

Minuscule protruding glass panels at the top and bottom are also said to exist on the device. The rear camera has a dual-LED flash module but there is no autofocus sensor in sight. The fingerprint sensor is shaped like a circle in the middle of the back.

LG Nexus 2015 has the same fingerprint sensor on the back, as seen in the below photo leaked by Marques Brownlee. The leaked device is a white-colored smartphone with a protruding camera on the back with a dual-LED flash and laser autofocus. There is also a Nexus logo presented on the back of the device, same as with previous models.

LG Nexus 2015

Possible specs for the Nexus smartphones?

Some of the leaked specs of the new Nexus Devices present interesting tech specs. The LG Google Nexus 5 2015 reportedly has a 5.2-inch display and is 8mm slim. Some AnTuTu benchmarks put the device at the top of the list for 2015 with a claimed score of 85530, the highest so far.

The Huawei Nexus is said to have a 5.7-inch display, front-facing speakers, USB Type-C, and the fingerprint scanner as well.

It is not official at the moment when Google will announce the devices, but, as we previously said, the release date can’t be far away. Last year the new Nexus smartphones were launched in October along with Android Lollipop, therefore it is expected that the new Nexus devices will make an official appearance as late as October.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 leaked just before the Unpacked event

Samsung is really really close to unveiling its newest smartphones today but one of them has already been leaked. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has just appeared in a set of real photos courtesy of and the details promise a pretty finished design. Rumor is this is a dummy version that will be displayed in shops, but it should fully replicate the phablet.

Galaxy Note 5

Galaxy Note 5 possible details

The handset is shown off in white and gold and even if we don’t actually know anything much, we can see how it looks from every angle. It appears that there will not be a microSD slot, as expected, and the pen slot is found in the bottom corner of the smartphone.

Samsung Unpacked is almost upon us! What should we expect from it?

Samsung Unpacked event is just a couple of hours away and we’re more excited than ever to find out what the South-Korean manufacturer has to share with us today. The event will take place in New York and it will be broadcast on the official page. The expectations are big as the speculated devices to be announced are the Note 5 and Edge S6 Plus.

Samsung Unpacked

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus

This device is a larger version of the regular S6 Edge and it also represents an answer to Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus. It is also an alternative to the Note and its size but it doesn’t have the stylus. Technically, the device is set to resonate with the Note 5.

It is rumored to have a 5.7 inch Quad HD display with the side curves, an octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, a 16MP and a 5 MP camera plus a 3000mAh battery. It should have a metal body that obviously does not allow users to increase the storage because there is no microSD slot.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5

The Note 5 has the same specs but a slightly different design, more in tone with the already established Note line. The phablet should also have a 5.7 inch Quad HD display paired with the Octa-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and 16/5 MP camera combo, all powered by a 3000 mAh battery. The smartphone should also have a metal body and the stylus pen.

The improved build should help these new Samsung devices run even better than the first S6 flagships, even if they do share hardware. They share the metal and glass body that made the S6 line a success with the design overhaul.

Samsung will have to explain what separates these devices from others and from one another. We are almost there. Who knows what surprised Samsung has in store for us?

Blackberry Venice renders leaked – a curved screen Android Blackberry smartphone?

Blackberry Venice is reportedly on the way and it is powered by Android and not the proprietary OS that the Canadian company has used so far. This could mean an important step in Blackberry’s attempt at getting back to the relevant smartphone market or it could be another downfall eased by the team up with competitor Android.

Blackberry Venice

Some new render leaks made their appearance as well, and they show a strikingly similar curved display to that of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It is possible that Samsung sold their AMOLED technology or LG may have been responsible with making this display.

Blackberry Blackberry chromecast

The leaks provided for the Blackberry Venice Android phone also mention Chromecast support and streaming to other devices plus the look of the Blackberry hub on top of the Lollipop OS. The pictures also show a possibly 18MP rear camera with a seven layer lens.

Possible specs for Blackberry Venice Android phone:

  • 4” QHD display
  • Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 SoC
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 18MP rear camera plus 5MP front camera.

The smartphone will be heading to AT&T and T-Mobile, at least on the US market, which means they may be somewhat exclusive to these carriers only. These renders have no clear production date, which can also mean that the final product may look more or less as depicted above. We can still hope it will be a glorious device though, right? Right?
