HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610 (finally) reach the US market

HTC’s mainstream line smartphones is finally arriving in the US. HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610 are reaching the US Tuesday, August 12, when Virgin Mobile will be offering the Desire 816 on its Beyond Talk plan for $299 with no minimum agreement. The second carrier to join in is AT&T, where Desire 610 will be found in stores in the following days. Other carriers will make their similar offers later in the year.

HTC Desire 816 has a 5.5” 1280x720p display with a 1.6 GHz quadcore Snapdragon processor and 1.5 GB of memory. The device gets 8 MB of space and has MicroSD support for up to 128 GB of storage. It presents a 13MP sensor and a 5MP front camera with wide-angle lens.

HTC Desire 610 has a smaller screen, with 4.7” 854x480p resolution, a 1.2 GHz quadcore Snapdragon plus 1 GB of memory and 8 GB of storage with a MicroSD slot for up to 64 GB of storage. The primary camera has an 8MP sensor whereas the front camera presents a 1.3 MP sensor.

Both devices have BoomSound speakers similar to those of HTC M8; they present the Sense 6 UI and BlinkFeed. They will be available in multiple color variants.

Both Desire phones have been on sale in various countries in Europe since 2013 and now they will be available for the US market as well.
