BLU updates its devices to Android Lollipop, first in line Studio X and Studio X Plus

BLU, one of the smaller US retailers out there, is updating its devices to Android Lollipop these days. Two of the more important handsets to get the OTA are Studio X and Studio X Plus. The Miami-based retailer is sort-of famous for its low-spec and low-price devices made by overseas partners.       The recently released Studio X and Studio X Plus are the first to get the Lollipop update which is rolling out as we speak. The other eight devices getting their fair share of sweetness are as follows: Studio G Star 4.5 Studio 6.0 Life One 2015 Life One XL Vivo Air Life 8 XL Studio Energy The update itself is the regular Lollipop stock version with just a hint of tweaks here and there. It is not confirmed yet, but the safest bet is that the devices are getting Android 5.0. Source: PR Newswire

Blu Life Pure XL – a mid-range smartphone at an affordable tech build

Blu launches a new mid-range device that doesn’t cost that much but has one of the best tech build on the market. Life Pure XL is a fairly cheap phone with great specs including a 16 MP rear camera and a QUALCOMM Snapdragon 8000 quad-core processor. Its display is not that bad – 5.5 inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a decent battery. Sadly, Blu Life Pure XL doesn’t have LTE connectivity but the quad core processor along with 3 GB of RAM or 2 GB for the 16 GB version will sustain pretty much any app you try. The device will get on Amazon on May 2nd at the price of $399 for the 32 GB + 3 GB of RAM version and at $349 for the 16GB + 2 GB of RAM version. The device is available in white, black, pink and blue color variants. Source: PRNewswire
