Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge from T Mobile get OTA to Android 5.1.1 – see what the changes are here


Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices from T Mobile are getting an OTA to Android 5.1.1 today. The update has 630 MB and you can download it as we speak if you go to the update menu.





The changelog is not very detailed, but it does offer some news regarding what is being changed. Here is what the official changelog says:

  • Fingerprint scanner improvements
  • Black boxes in email resolved
  • Anti-theft (device protection)
  • Camera LED flashlight resolved
  • Failed to reboot – error message resolved
  • Check for Amazon error resolved
  • Various bug fixes and device improvements.

Considering this is a 5.1.1 update, some things are new, including the less annoying heads-up notifications and the much-needed device protection features branded as anti-theft.
