Sony launched Xperia Z4, a new and ultra-thin 10” tablet. Even if Sony’s mobile division is slipping away from the big screens and stages of the mobile world, it hasn’t given up yet.
Xperia Z4 has a slim 6.1 mm body with a 389g weight and it keeps a 2K (2560x1600p) 10” display. Under the chassis you will find a potent Qualcomm 810 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory helped by a microSD slot. It has a 13MP camera on the back and a front camera with a 5.1MP wide-angle lens for awesome selfies. It is all powered by a 6000 mAh battery which allegedly provides over 17 hours of video playback.
Xperia Z4’s strong points as advertised are the two front-facing stereo speakers, digital noise cancelling, faster wireless transmissions via Bluetooth and Stamina Mode. The tablet is also IP68 dust resistant and waterproof and has a capless USB port you will have to dry when immersed in water before you can safely charge it.
Sony Xperia Z4 runs on Android 5.0. It will have some interesting accessories to dry your wallet out, mainly the BKB50 Bluetooth keyboard, the BSP60 smart speaker and the SCR32 perfect fit cover.
Z4 will be available worldwide starting June 2015 in white and black with WiFi and LTE variants. No words on pricing yet.
