Minecraft pocket edition is back and this time the pocket is smaller than ever! The little cubic sandbox is now available on smartwatches as well!
The first smartwatches that have a similar construction to older smartphones can handle the pocket version of Minecraft, and this is all thanks to Youtube user and Galaxy Gear owner Corbin Davenport, who managed to port the game to the most minimal virtual pocket ever.
Davenport says he didn’t do that much to make the Pocket version supported on his Galaxy Gear as he just manually installed it. The Samsung handwear device runs on a 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon 400 processor with 512 MB of RAM and no less than 4 GB of storage, which means it is strong enough to play the sandbox building game, at least in local mode.
It appears that the game adapts rather well to the 1.65” square 320×320 screen. You can even play the game if you squint your eyes a bit and are careful enough with there you tap the screen.
