HTC One M8 unlocked and developer editions update to Android Lollipop

HTC One M8 unlocked and developer editions are getting the long-awaited update to Android Lollipop. Mo Versi, the VP of product management, made the announcement on Twitter today, mentioning that Google gave their technical approval and that the OTA was heading out to users worldwide.

You can check your device to see if you received the update already or if you are prompted to get it. The Android 5.0 update is also bringing a new version of Sense 6.

The unlocked and developer versions of the HTC M8 flagship are the first to get the update because they are not carrier bound, which means that AT&T, T Mobile and Verizon among others will still have to change some stuffs before breaking the update to their customers and devices.
