Caterpillar S50 is the newest addition to the bulldozer people’s rugged smartphone line and it promotes itself as an indestructible device! The Cat S50 was announced at IFA Berlin today and it is in fact the next smartphone after Cat B15, a highly durable device itself.
Cat S50 is designed as a mid-range phone with a strong design that will last through anything, even explosions!
The device has a bigger and better Gorilla Glass 3 screen of 4.7” and it runs on a quad core 1.2 GHz processor with 8 GB of storage (it does have a microSD slot which supports up to 64 GB of additional space). Its rear camera is an 8MP sensor with flash and HD video options.
When it comes to resisting anything and everything, Cat S50 is pretty much indestructible because it has workable virtual navigation buttons even when the phone is wet and an Ingress protection rating of 67 and a Milspec 810G for its general toughness. The device is slimmer than the previous model, but it still remains chunky when held in hand.
