Two new Acer laptops are available in the North-American market, and they both belong to the V Nitro Black Edition Series. US and Canada is calling dibs on two new gaming laptops that arrive on the market in October and November respectively. The smaller V15 version is the one to arrive in just a few days whereas V17 will hit the shelves in November.

Acer Aspire V15 and V17 Nitro Black Editions will launch just in time for the holiday season and, as you may have figured already, the first has a 15.6” screen whereas the second has a larger 17.3” display. Both devices have full HD 1080p resolutions and are powered by an Intel Core i7-4710HQ quad-core processor accompanied by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphic cards.

V15 has 8 GB of RAM and, by comparison, V17 has double the trouble with 16 GB of RAM. The smaller one has 1 TB HDD with a 128 GB SSD while the larger device has 1 TB HDD with a 256 GB SSD.

 

 

Both laptops have backlit full-size keyboards but only V17 has a Blu-ray optical drive. Additionally, both laptops have Ethernet, HDMI, a combo audio jack, a 3-cell battery, Kensington lock, Bluetooth 4.0, and dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi. The devices have HD 720 webcams and run on Windows 8.1.

V15 weighs around 5.29lbs, while the V17 is a bit heavier at 6.61lbs.

Acer Aspire V15 will have a price starting at $1,099 USD and Acer Aspire V17 laptop will cost around $1,499 USD.
